Today, I had a 'Grand Day Out' in London. I went to the British Museum (which I love), the Tate Modern (which I don't like, but I like the location), through Mayfair, down the Kings Road to see my friend CJ's small exhibition, and finished at Lowlander on Drury Lane. Why go through Mayfair? To promote the new episodes of 'Red Dwarf', the first of which is transmitted on Friday, the crew of the mining ship were doing an event in Berkeley Square. They showed up in full costume. They didn't have a lot of time - I got the sense they'd been pushed from pillar to post all day, and had to go off to the BBC for the six o'clock news - but they had time to pose for lots of photographs - and I had my photo taken with them. There were a couple of idiots passing by who shouted a bit - nobody let that spoil their day.
