Last night we went to see Underworld: Evolution. It was exactly what the doctor ordered, a fun film, lots of action, lots of leather (!), Vampires and Werewolves and Markus - oh my! The film is possibly a little difficult to follow in places, but it doesn't really matter - and it all becomes clear. It takes a little while before you realise what David Jacobi is doing in the mix.
The film is a sequel to the original, Underworld - and they cater for this by having a potted history of Underworld shortly after the titles.
To be honest, I thought the original was better - but this was entertaining - and possibly the end of the film probably contains one of the most inventive ways to kill a vampire yet committed to celluloid. Foisted on his own petard!
