Last night we took ourselves off to see 'Collateral', the new Tom Cruise film.

The film is essentially about the relationship between Max, a Taxi Driver played by Jamie Foxx, and Vincent, a hit man, played by Tom Cruise.

One night, Vincent comes to town to complete a series of hits. As is his style he hires a taxi to drive him around town. max becomes caught up in the events, and is unable to make good an escape, for various reasons which become clear.

I've been unfamiliar with Jamie Foxx, but I thought that his performance was particularly good. It was quite understated for the most part.

The film is a good one, and well worth seeing. The climax, though good, does rely upon an unlikely coincidence, which jars slightly. This aside, it's a fun night out.
