Okay, this is now officially not funny. My nice Apple ibook (now about 20 months old) has developed a slight problem. Occasionally all the pixels in the LCD turn green. This looks like it may be down to a problem in the hinge where the cables connect the LCD to the rest of the laptop.
This could be expensive.
The machine basically works well, though it is my only machine, so I'm quite nervous at the moment, and the screen is being kept very, very still. Most of the time it seems okay, but the connectors are on their way out. Could be an expensive repair job.
This may be a good moment to upgrade, and turn this into a second machine.... I wonder if the missus will let me....?
We can't really afford it. By the same token, we can't afford to be without a machine!
