Last night we went to see X-Men 3. Generally, whilst one could see where the money went, I came away feeling rather unsatisfied.
In all of the three films, I’ve felt that Rogue has been under-used. Yes, she was a pretty vital cog in an earlier film, but she never had the chance to really use her abilities. Magneto’s change of heart just before he makes good his escape across the bridge was rather out of character, I felt.
The film felt rather like Fast Food, satisfying at the time, but soon leaves you feeling like you should’ve gone for something more substantial.
Things that interest me…

I felt unsatisfied with it also.
It’s biggest failing in my opinion is that it didn’t make me feel anything for the characters, it lacked emotional resonance there were many scenes where it was trying for that but they all failed for me.
Significant characters die and I felt nothing. Rogue is deciding whether or not to take a huge step that will change her life forever and what should have been a tortured dilemma for her just wasn’t and I again I felt nothing.
Not even fast food for me, this was like candyfloss it looked great on the surface but there was no substance to it.
