A common reason for a visa refusal is you wish to go to the UK for a holiday. You have never previously undertaken any foreign travel before and I can see little reason for this trip. This is rather a catch-22!
Another reason for rejection was the applicant not having sufficient command of the language for the purposes of tourism. This is a daft – how many Brits go abroad without having an adequate knowledge of the local language?
Another was rejected as the applicant had little or no idea what you plan to see or do. I often go on holiday with little idea of what I’ll see when I get there, that’s the point!
Let us hope that countries for which UK citizens require visa do not begin to follow suit!

Could you please send me the soft copy of the UK tourist visa rejection letter ? I booked for a Europe trip thru’ one of the travel agencies but unfortunately had to cancel the trip due to work commitments. But the travel agency is refusing to refund the money stating that, they only refund money if visa is rejected. I dont want to lose $3K for any cost and my company doesn’t reimburse the amount. Could someone help ?

1) What makes you think I have a copy of such a letter?
2) You are essentially asking for help in committing fraud on a public website. Not a good plan.
has anybody out there used the new method of applying for a UK visitors visa from Turkey.? This is supposed to be a quick, efficient method of applying for a visa on line (although you still have to travel to one of the Application centres with your supporting documents and they then send them on to ?stanbul or Ankara.)
We were told we would hear something within 5 days, 2 weeks later and we are still waiting. ‘You will be able to track your application’ we were told, and all it says is that ‘the application is in the visa centre’. Well yes we know that but what else is happening.! We know of one other person that has applied the same way, the day after us and he too is still waiting!
