Military Criminals Escape

Dateline: Sunday, August 27, 1972

A gang of organised criminals have escaped from prison to the Los Angeles Underground this morning.

The men, who once formed a crack commando group, were sent to prison by a military court. The details of their crime have yet to be released into the public domain.

Within hours of their imprisonment they had promptly manufactured a makeshift vehicle from the pile of junk and tools which had been left in their cell.

Crashing through the walls of the jail, one of the prisoners was heard to say: “I love it when a plan comes together”.

No guards were hurt during the course of the escape.
