Blue Peter Badges

Oh my goodness. Of all the things to get worked up about in politics at the moment, the ID cards, the LRRB, what do two MPs get hot under the collar about today?

Blue Peter badge sales on Ebay. Oh dear. This is why people don’t take the LDems seriously. This. Just this.

Stop undermining the principled stand the party has taken on the big issues of the day with these trivialities. Please.

The general public are allowed to be trivial, you’re not. We’re not MPs, paid to look after the business of the nation, you are. Please get one with it, and stop giving ammunition for NuLab to use against you next time you try to make a serious point they want to ignore.

Blue Peter‘ may be a national institution, but it does not need the protection of the state!

mutter… mumble….

On that, agree completely. For some reason, when I said “on 80% od the issues that matter, I’m closest to the LibDems”, people interpreted it as saying “I agree with 80% of what the LibDems say”.

Ah, no. Especially not when they do stuff like this. Gentlemen, let me introduce you to the wonders of a Market Economy and combine it with cheap, easy to use reselling mechanisms.

I reckon they’ve always been traded, eBay makes it easier to spot.
