There are petitions about the Olympic Logo for 2012.

Online petition – Support the London 2012 Logo
As I write, one of these has 18792 signatures, the latest being a Claire Hinds of Manchester. The other has one signature, a Mister Chris Blatchford.
No prizes for guessing which is which.
It’s amazing how this logo has united people in their dislike for it. Quite an achievement.
Amazingly, comments have yet to appear on the Olympic 2012 website’s logo launch page. I wonder why?
Update: The Olympic team have defended their logo, saying ‘it’s not a logo, it’s a brand’ (if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…). They’ve said ‘it won’t be to everyone’s taste at first’ (i.e. you don’t know your own mind – we’re not changing ours). They’ve said ‘it’ll evolve’ (i.e. we’ll change it anyway, we just don’t want to be seen to be changing it so soon).
The best thing they can do here is just to say ‘we got it wrong, sorry. These things happen, but thank goodness it’s rare. Now, let’s put it right’. The worst thing to do is the politician’s response of sticking to the original decision as to change one’s mind in the face of evidence gives them worries about being seen as ‘weak’.

I like the London 20120 logo, I think when you compare it to the previous Olympic logos it really stands out!
(Edit: So… you’re the one…. (I’m ignoring the pedantism of the 18000+ year wait

This amused me greatly…
